On Wednesday, 33 pounds of marijuana washed ashore in the Sandpointe area of Indian River County. Indian River County Sheriff’s officials said those three-plastic wrapped packages may have been part of a supply that has been coming ashore in recent weeks. The Indian River Shores Public Safety Department found a 15-pound package on Sept. 16. Another 10-pound package was recovered that day at Golden Sands Beach Park by Indian River County sheriff’s deputies.
