After a successful showing at the end of last year in Texas, KAWS’ “COMPANION” sculpture makes its way to Texas for what seems like forever. The COMPANION can be located in Hong Kong as well as on the West Side of NYC at the legendary Standard Hotel. The new home for “COMPANION” is only a start for the upcoming fall and 2013-2014 as “COMPANION” will make a 40 foot-long appearance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Sculpture Plinth Exhibition Program at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Museum (2013), and a solo exhibition at CAC Malaga, Spain (2014).
