Everybody’s got Brooklyn fever. The Nets made a huge splash when they made the move from the swamps of New Jersey to the County of Kings and now that the Barclay’s Center has been erected, it has been a hot spot for all sorts of publicity. Meanwhile out in Nassau County, owners of the New York Islanders were denied a pledge for a new arena. So what did they do? They followed right behind the Brooklyn Nets and by 2015 hockey will be in Brooklyn. It is not known if the franchise will change their name, being that an Islander isn’t quite geographically accurate in Brooklyn, but this is just another stepping stone in the revitalization of Brooklyn.
