Brandon Jacobs is the 2nd New York Giant to sign with the San Francisco 49ers.

Running back Jacobs, who is NYG starting running back Bradshaw’s best friend, told Mens Fitness in October that he was unhappy with his role & didn’t think he’d be back for 2012. However, after they won this year’s Super Bowl, he changed his mind and wanted to stay.

NYG released him rather than pay him $500k bonus and 4.4M he was due this season.

49ers also signed New York Giants receiver Mario Manningham in a 2 year contract. Jacobs signed a one year deal contract.
