The three R&B heavyweights Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank formed a group together in 2007  called TGT, and women across the world rejoiced.  The group released a very successful remix of Tank’s “Please Don’t Go,” but then the project was scrapped after label situations for each artist made it difficult to come to agreements for the group project.

But, fast forward to today at the BET Awards Pre Show where Tyrese showed up alongside Ginuwine, and Tank to officially announce that Grown Folk Music would be coming to us soon courtesy of TGT.  This is great news for R&B fans everywhere who have complained about the lack of quality R&B music in these last few years.

Let’s wait and see whether it develops like Tyrese says, or whether it becomes an R&B version of “DeTox”..
