One of my favorite kicks ever is the Nike Air Max 2 CB94. Better yet, the execution of black/white-purple makes it one of the better colorways ever. When putting together my personal pair of Nike Air 180s, I looked back at the Barkley signature shoe that I always loved and wanted, and created my own pair.

Looking at the shoe and its colorway, I knew that I wanted to create a black suede overlay with white leather base. I couldn’t add the preferations to the suede so I used the preforated leather option on the base. I wanted to keep that predominantly black look so I added a black suede overlay. When it came to the inclusion of the purple, I wanted to keep it as small as possible. Making a purple tongue, much like the original shoe, wasn’t too appealing to me. So, I added concord purple hints to the lining of the shoe, the air bag and the heel logo. Overall, I think I made a shoe that appeals to those that really love the Barkleys. I know I like them!
