DOPE $H!T: TransShoeformers Sneaker Art By James Visaya
The progression of contemporary sneaker culture has seen the development of interesting creative outlets for some of its cohorts, with the prized possessions themselves being transformed into something akin to art pieces. Similar to Nike‘s collaboration with Japanese toy manufacturer Takara-Tomy from 2007, in which Nike Frees were transformed into Optimus Prime and Megatron, this project by James Visaya takes the concept to an entirely new level. Dubbed the Transshoeformers, these figures are actually a pair of OG Nike Air Flight Huarache and OG Asics Gel-Lyte III in disguise. Check out detailed looks in the gallery below.
